The Arts School offers group classes for students in art, drama, piano, and strings.  


Summer Musical Theatre and Arts Camp (Seussical Jr.)

We are excited to be offering our very first Musical Theatre & Arts Camp! We will produce Seussical Jr. in just two short weeks! That's right ... all the songs, sets, costumes, props, art projects and fun all packed into two crazy weeks! Everyone is welcome in our fine arts camp. Students of all skill and experience levels learn from each other in rehearsal, build, and class times!

Grades: 1-12

Day/Time - Thursday, July 22 through Friday, July 30, 2021 (9AM-4PM); Two performances on Friday, July 30 at 6:30 PM and during school on Friday, August 20.

Location - Prince of Peace Christian School Fine Arts Center (4004 Midway Road in Carrollton, TX 75007)

Anyone who registers for the POP Musical Theatre & Arts Camp is guaranteed a role in the show and is not required to audition. Those who would like to be considered for a principal role will be asked to audition on the first day, Thursday, July 22. In addition to fun, fast-paced rehearsals every day in musical theatre, students will get to explore enrichment classes such as stagecraft and visual arts. Questions about our camp? Art Adventures with Mrs. Aguilar

"Mini Masterpieces"

In this class, young artists will explore various art styles through projects inspired by a diverse collection of famous artists past and present from around the world.

Grades: 3-5

Group Piano Class - First Grade and Up - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Due to Covid-19 prevention measures, the Group Piano Class will not be offered for the spring semester. Mrs. Couser's group piano students are encouraged to take virtual private lessons with her for the spring semester.

Suzuki Group/Theory Class - Violin and Viola

Suzuki group classes reinforce concepts and repertoire introduced in private lessons. Depending on the level of the group, it may include such things as pre-Twinkle songs, instrumental position games, review of Suzuki repertoire in an ensemble setting, note-reading on the student's instrument, or playing Suzuki and supplemental repertoire in multiple parts.

Suzuki group classes are only offered to students enrolled in Suzuki private instruction. All Suzuki students must enroll in group class for the duration of the school year. Please consult with your private teacher regarding placement.

POP Players - Children's Theater

Is your child overly dramatic or a shower singer? Then POP PLAYERS is the class for them! POP Players

Children's Theater focuses on building confidence through singing, dancing, and acting. Our classes

culminate in a musical theater production. Come join our creative adventure this semester!

Join Puzzle Puppies on a dark and stormy night as they investigate the case of the Pixie Poodles' missing puppy treats!

Enrollment for the 2020-21 school year begins Saturday, August 1. All new and returning students must enroll by completing the online enrollment form found by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page. The Arts School accepts new enrollments year round.

A non-refundable registration fee of $50 will be due at the beginning of the semester. Please see enrollment form regarding payment options.

Please note that The Arts School instructors will not collect enrollments or payments of any kind. 

Payment Policy

Group classes at The Arts School follow a predetermined schedule. Because of the nature of the group class setting, The Arts School will not be able to reimburse for missed classes, and make-up classes will not be available. In the event that the instructor of the class is not available or the class is canceled due to inclement weather, the class will be made up.

The Arts School Year

The school year at The Arts School is divided into two main sessions, one in the fall and one in the spring. The Arts School also offers lessons in an abbreviated summer session. The 2020-21 school year begins on August 24, 2020 and runs through May 21, 2021. Summer lessons will be offered from May 31 - August 6, 2021.

Inclement Weather and School Closings

The Arts School follows the inclement weather policy of Prince of Peace Christian School. Please listen to local radio and TV broadcasts for up-to-date information concerning school closings. If the campus remains open and available on a day when lessons have been cancelled, special arrangements may be made on an individual basis between the student and the instructor to have a lesson. When inclement weather does develop, The Arts School reserves the right to cancel lessons for the remainder of the day.
